Not too long ago, I was right there too, shuffling through notes, ordering and reordering chapters, wondering if what I was writing would someday resonate with readers.  (Yes, that's actually a photo of my desk.)

As a writer, I knew it was necessary to have eyes (other than my own) review my work and give honest, high-level feedback on content, structure, and flow. I've always had a knack for editing and a love for grammar, but when it's your own work, sometimes you're just too close.

So, this is where I come in!  Maybe you have a great idea for a story, you have a few chapters written, but you just can't seem to make it connect or you wonder if your storyline makes sense.  Maybe you have a manuscript that you think is ready to publish, but you'd feel better to get some professional eyes on it.  Maybe you're somewhere in between.  Good news!  I can help!

I do things a little differently because I know FIRST HAND this method WORKS.  Sure, I could simply tell you that my rates for copyediting typically range from $.03 to $.06 per word. But because every manuscript is a little different, I offer something called a “manuscript review.” 

I read your entire manuscript, beginning to end, taking notes along the way. I put together a feedback letter that highlights what’s working well in the manuscript and what areas of revision you will want to consider addressing before the manuscript is ready for publication. 

I’ll also provide you with my suggestions on what level of editing will be appropriate for your manuscript, so that you know what level of investment you’re likely looking at in the editorial process. 

And the good news is that if you feel you and I share the same vision for your book, and you’d like me to edit your book, I’ll gladly credit the initial investment of $289 for the manuscript review toward a level of edit that makes the most sense for your book.
